| ¡Welcome! to CinfO, a virtual discussion space for stakeholders worldwide interested in the diversification of hillside coffee-growing areas |
| |
CinfO was developed by the Land Use Project of the International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT), a not-for-profit organization that conducts socially and environmentally progressive research aimed at reducing hunger and poverty and preserving natural resources in developing countries.
CinfO seeks to reduce the vulnerability of coffee farmers facing dwindling markets by helping them diversify their crops using site-specific alternatives. This diversification can involve high-value specialty coffee or other alternative crops
CinfO encourages the ongoing interaction between coffee growers, exporters, coffee roaster companies, and coffee-grower organizations, establishing a vertical product chain.
¡You are cordially invited to become part of this vast integrated information system and share data and experiences with others interested in diversification worldwide!
